Cobblestone castles

I've been traveling a bit, seeing the homes people build. You know what's common? Cobblestone castles. Great cubes of grey, often surrounded by treacherous pits and partially felled trees. Occasional chunks of gold and diamond meant to suggest that the owner is somehow "rich."

People who want to be impressive rarely improve the scenery.

Attention to detail stands out. A small but well constructed tavern integrated into the landscape is more inviting. A harmonious collection of materials in a Japanese tea house more inspiring. And nothing demands exploration like a simple winding road.

Skip trying to be impressive. The right question is "how can I make this engaging?"
